CIALLO is a Chinese internet brand for fans of anime, games and independent creators. It runs an encyclopedia, a search engine, a community, a game label, an anime video site and other projects, all sharing a single account system, CIALLO ID. The official site is ciallosoft.com. The name comes from the internet greeting "Ciallo~(∠・ω< )⌒★", which most of the sites also use in their page titles. CIALLO® is a registered trademark.

1 Overview

1.1 Focus

CIALLO's projects revolve around two ideas: ACG (anime, comics and games) culture and the independent web. The encyclopedia and search engine are built around open knowledge and personal websites, while the community and games target ACG fans. Most services are in Chinese; the encyclopedia also has English and Japanese editions.

1.2 Name

The brand is named after Ciallo~(∠・ω< )⌒★, a greeting popular in anime fan circles. The Chinese name "Qiuluo" (秋洛), used in names such as Qiuluo Encyclopedia and "Qiu ICP", is a transliteration of Ciallo.

1.3 Style

The visual identity is built on a wordmark and an icon, each with dark and light variants. The copywriting is playful and often written in a *tsundere* voice, for example "Can't stop playing? …Hmph, it's not like we made it for you♡".

2.1 Ciallo Wiki

Ciallo Wiki is an open knowledge base co-built by AI and human editors. Its Chinese, English and Japanese editions are written independently and organised into 35 top-level categories, with more than 26,000 articles in total. Besides general knowledge, it covers internet slang, ACG terms and gaming jargon.

 • Open licence: articles are available under CC BY 4.0.
 • AI-friendly: it publishes an llms.txt file, a public Agent API and a style guide, so AI agents can search, read and submit articles.
 • Widely crawled: major AI crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Amazonbot, Applebot and Meta AI have fetched it more than 300,000 times, and it is frequently cited in Bing's AI answers.
 • Visitor check: since October 2026, anonymous visitors pass a lightweight human check; regular users and self-identified crawlers are not affected.

2.2 Ciallo So

Ciallo So's slogan is "give search back to personal blogs". It indexes more than 200,000 personal blogs and independent websites and aggregates articles from their feeds. It does not favour large platforms or content farms, carries no ads or paid rankings, and lets site owners submit their own sites and feeds.

 • Two crawlers: CialloSoBot revisits the homepage of each indexed site every seven days and discovers new sites, respecting robots.txt; CialloRssBot detects and fetches public RSS, Atom and JSON feeds.
 • AI search API: a free JSON search API that needs no key and can be used directly as a tool by language models and agents.
 • Wiki integration: search results link to related Ciallo Wiki articles.
 • Technology: in 2026 the search backend moved from MySQL to PostgreSQL with pg_bigm, fixing failed searches for long English words and making most queries several times faster.

2.3 CialloCircle

CialloCircle is a community for anime and indie game fans, where users share their work, discuss new shows and exchange development tips. Features include posts and drafts, categories and tags, follows, likes and bookmarks, and private messages. It uses CIALLO ID for login.

2.4 Ciallo Games

Ciallo Games is CIALLO's game label. Its titles are numbered "CG-xxx", can be played directly in the browser, are also available as Android packages, and are listed on platforms such as TapTap and 233 Leyuan.

No.TitleGenreRelease
CG-001*Shifi's World*Pixel 2.5D puzzleOctober 2026
CG-002*Figure Factory*3D idle managementOctober 2026
 • *Shifi's World*: a girl named Shifi Shirase lives in Kirino-cho, a small town surrounded by forest and a lake. Every day she receives a letter without a sender, and she can only go to sleep after solving that day's puzzles. The story runs for fourteen days plus an epilogue, with philosophy hidden in the puzzles and the plot hidden in growing anomalies.
 • *Figure Factory*: the player is M0LD, a production AI told only to "make more figures". Starting from a tiny workshop, the factory expands to cover the whole planet and eventually the stars. The game pays homage to *Universal Paperclips*, retelling its story with a 3D isometric factory.

2.5 CIALLO VIDEO

CIALLO VIDEO is a server-rendered anime video site with a featured-shows carousel, search filters, HLS playback, episode and source switching, comments, bullet comments (danmaku) and watchlists. An Android client is also in development. It uses CIALLO ID for login.

2.6 CIALLO ID

CIALLO ID is the shared account system for all CIALLO sites, hosted at ciallo.cx. A single CID lets users sign in to the community, the video site and other services. Sites can integrate it through a login pop-up or standard OAuth authorisation.

2.7 Qiu ICP Registry

The Qiu ICP Registry is a joke site that imitates the format of Chinese ICP licence numbers. It issues "Qiu ICP" numbers to personal websites and showcases "lucky" numbers such as repeating digits, along with recently registered sites. The "Qiu ICP No. 20260711" in Ciallo Wiki's footer comes from here.

3 Stance on crawlers and AI

CIALLO openly welcomes crawlers and AI applications that identify themselves and follow the rules: the encyclopedia offers llms.txt and an Agent API, the search engine offers a free AI search API, and CIALLO's own crawlers publish their User-Agents and crawling rules.

Between August and October 2026, Ciallo Wiki and Ciallo So suffered repeated outages caused by an anonymous crawler that used tens of thousands of residential proxy IPs, faked browser identities and ignored robots.txt. CIALLO later published a statement saying that it "does not oppose crawling, but crawling that hides its identity, ignores the rules and harms service stability", and tightened resource limits and visitor checks.

4 Recruitment

CIALLO is looking for anime-loving collaborators in art, programming, writing, music, promotion and operations. Details are on the "Join us" page of the official site.
